the torrent... i cant pull over 10kb/s takes me a whole day to download 1 episode... its a joke.

however i do share your opinion of the show... its boring... melodramatic and somewhat annoying and
repetative but i will continue to watch blindly hopeing for the day that it turns around and becomes
like the stargate of old and that i won't be the one who missed it.

i actually enjoy the show, but i never saw sg1 or atlantis so i'm can't compare them. on the other
hand, i do agree that sgu could be so much better than it is. i fear there won't be a third season
as it's struggling to hold even 1 million viewers each week.

its not my settings, otherwise i wouldn't be doing 150kb/s right now, it just takes like 2 or 3
hours to get a good seed.

to be honest, i think the show is getting better with the dismal budget they have compare to sg1.
mgm is going through some financial difficuties right now. when that is settled, sgu will have a bigger
budget. just hand tight and i promise this show will be much better if we give it a chance.

wow... did you not read my comment. maybe i didn't say it clear enough. i enjoy the show. it's the
fact that i haven't seen sg1 and sga which means i can enjoy sgu for what it is: a drama set in a
scifi background. i'm not trying to compare it to the previous shows. the lack of viewers is just a
known fact. i want the show to continue.
now i wouldn't call that bitching. i'm on your side 😛

i should not read eztv sgu forums as i just started watching 1st season and dont want any spoilers...
though i check forums to see if eps that get up'ed are working or not. i watched sg1 and sga and they
both uber awesome =) sgu is a lot different. hope they keep this series going as dont want the
franchise to just... stop. the creators of the shows are doing a great show.

hello random person on the internet who seems to have appointed themselves king of the internet...
who are you again? why should i be listening to your demands.

there is no show in history that has taken as big a turn as sgu has, sg1 slightly comedic at most
times, sga like wise, sgu 100% drama. last time i checked, most tv shows, movies hell even video
games, when you extend the franchise generally the story lines play off eachother (like they did
when sg1 and sga were running in parallel if they want to send it on a different and unique tangent
it's their show they are more then welcome to, but in doing so they do it under the pretence that
they will piss off alot of the fans that made their franchise what it is today. with my purchases of
all the box sets of both sg1 and sga, my money help pay to extend the franchise... so if i want to
be upset that they aren't catering to my neeeds. i have every right to be upset and there is nothing
you or they can do to stop me. the only thing that you can do is if you don't like someone whinging
about it ignore them.

so in conclusion no i wont enjoy it because its a boring show. no i wont stop bitching because it's
my priveledge as one of the many franchise extenders to use my voice in expressing what direction we
think the show should be taking.

p.s this episode was horrible... hurray a god preaching episode. wooooo. /wrists

i've never seen sg1 or sga. so about two weeks ago i decided to download all of sgu season 1 to see if
i'd enjoy it, a few days ago i finished watching this episode (having liked it enough to get season 2 as well
and catch up with everyone else).

so i'm now up-to-date and i honestly cannot understand the complaints this show has been getting. maybe
the concept of being stranded billions of lightyears from home interests me more than it does other people,
but there's no way i'd call the show boring. maybe because sgu is so different to the others actually puts
me in a better position than the sg faithful (who've watched everything else that went before this) since a
lot will be expecting more from sgu than it could possibly deliver.

sgu is what i would call a 'gritty' sci-fi show, it's not clean and clinical or packed with crazy action every
single week ("just because we can"_), but that's what makes it a brilliant show imo.

each to their own though 🙂
