spartacus: gods of the arena (2011) (season 0 or n/a) (prequel - 6 part mini-series)
spartacus: vengeance (2012) (season 2) (blood and sand was retitled)

some are calling "vengeance" season 1 because of it's new title.
some are calling it season 3 because it is third in the series.
however, "vengeance" is season 2 of blood and sand, wich was retitled. not season 1 or 3, as some
are calling it.

well, that's one wikipedia author's opinion.

i disagree with the thinking of its author. where did anyone get the idea that blood and sand was
"retitled"? (please don't answer, that was a rhetorical question.) neither the word "retitled" nor
"renamed" appear <i>anywhere</i> in that wikipedia article, so i conclude that you merely
<i>assumed</i> that b&s was renamed, basing your idea on the wikipedia author's mistaken enumeration
of the vengeance episodes lineup.

according to tvrage.com it is season 1 of "spartacus: vengeance", not season 2 of "blood and sand".

i'll stick with the "season 1 of vengeance" lineup published on tvrage.com and myepisodes.com, which
i consider to be authoritative over the wikipedia posting. which means i'll just have to rename each
improperly named episode as i download them - until such time as they are properly titled like
"spartacus.vengeance.s01e01.fugitivus.avi".

although i gave the url to wiki, i never said that they used the term "retitled". i gave the wiki url as a
resource for episode info. imdb.com is one of the sites that is using the term "retitled" to explain the
new name that follows the main title of "spartaus:".

and those people, known as "the scene", the ones who have been capping, encoding, naming, and
providing movies and tv shows for more than a decade, have chosen to name this as season 2. i
merely passed along the info that i found on epguides.com, tvrage.com, thefutoncritic.com,
imdb.com, wikipedia.org, tvguide.com, sharetv.org, and myepisodes.com. and it matches the
numeration being used by "the scene".

btw, tvrage.com, one of the sources you gave, is also listing it as season 2.
i seareched tvrage for "spartacus: vengeance" and the result, verbatim:

sounds like mysepisdoes has left it open to interpretation.

if you leave off the sub titles "blood and sand" and "vengeance" you are left with the title "spartacus"
and this is season two of spartacus. the six part "gods of the arena" was a mini-series and does not
count as a season.

of course you are welcome to rename the files to whatever makes sense to you and makes you all
warm and fuzzy inside. however, they are not currently named incorrectly. they are merely not
named to your liking.

why can't i find spartacus anywhere to download? been looking for a long time. thanks.
