i watched a live streaming feed of the bbc coverage (sure to be if not the one, one of the
releases...there was some commentary, but it was kept to a minimum...unlike the nbc commentary that
bob costas does where he can't seem to shut the frack up.
does this include the opening ceremony? i missed the whole thing, so need to find it
in full somewhere.
this is the "preview show", not the "opening ceremony", which should show up later.
there was a 'scene release' of the opening ceremony but it was nuked.
if they do a new release and keep the same title, it will be:
london.2012.opening.ceremony.720p.hdtv.x264-olympians
look for it later tonight or tomorrow.

the scene setup the game, they created a set of rules, they agree to the rules, they break the rules
they get nuked...all part of the game. whether or not the release would be acceptable to the general
public without a repack, a proper, or whatever, does not come into the equation. the by-product of
their sometimes silly game is the rest of us get tv shows.
^ the worst that can happen in this case is a dirfix, as the problem concerns only the filename, it seems.
no reason for eztv to hold off on posting it, strictly speaking.
anyway, i just had a look at tpb and there are already a handful of non-scene releases of the bbc
coverage of the opening ceremony, whereas the scene release in question is apparently of the inferior
eurosport coverage. might not be worth distributing this any further in the first place, in other words.
what is the deal with the olympics coverage? are nbc/ctv the only networks that cover it? are
there alternate sources? french, italian, dutch, greek ... etc?
the nbc coverage has too much yakking. it's a turn off 😐
thank you everyone for making these available, and responding.
