i use gom player and simply adjusted the audio to fit the video after it went out of sync... then it
was too far out of sync... not cool

doesn't work all the time, nor does the switching the dns numbers, especially with the bbc.
sometimes itv will let things slip through but most of the sites know these tricks now. bad...ooooh 🙂

anyway, there are programs that will hide you or switch headers, some work, some dont. media hint is
hit and miss but its an option. just fyi.

thanks cherriterri, interesting response, but i think i may get how this might work, at least in
principle. there are only so many headers that can be spoofed, and they are very finite. the ip
address however is determined by location - normally, and this of course is also finite, given
that it is a standard protocol. when a user goes through their isp the users ip address, and
thereby their location, is apparent.

however, some proxy ip addresses that circumnavigate their users isp (such as opendns to name but
one) are sacrosanct, insofar as their addresses are trusted and used very widely. i suspect a
diminishing return on blocking certain ip addresses are available when circumvention occurs. i'm no
network engineer, but it must be hard to block some ip addresses that appear in the header. (one
can of course read the packets bit or byte by bit, but lets not go there)

apologies to the moderator, i trust i haven't stepped beyond protocol, just interesting is all 🙂
