dec 11, 2013 - ripper street might get a third series as part of a co-production deal, despite
apparently being axed last week (dec 04, 2013). bbc one previously announced that the period
thriller would not be returning for a third series, citing dwindling audience numbers. however, the
corporation is now in the early stages of a deal with lovefilm to revive the series.

february 26, 2014 - the series has been renewed by bbc america.
in addition to the renewal, "ripper street" has a digital-streaming deal with amazon (formerly
known as lovefilm), which acquired the u.k. subscription rights. season 3 will begin production in

my guess, season three will air on bbc america late 2014 (nov-dec) or early 2015 (jan-mar).
