been looking forward to this. fingers crossed it's not another soapy drama. the ads certainly don't make it
look soft. never know though. tv execs have a way of selling rubbish as decent.

nice to see vampires as monsters and not glittering faries

pass. getting a bit tired of vampires. they are more and more like the doctors and lawyers of the sci-fi
world these days: just make a show about them and people will watch. not me. not me!!!

considering this, it should be fairly decent.

this might be a dated reference but i got a serious ultraviolet (british tv serial) from it.

looks to be the same kind of approach to horror.

a show way ahead of it's time,i loved it,a proper horror show with a scifi approach to vampires,plus it had
idris alba !

yeah i can agree with the rest above that this looks promissing. i do hope that the rest will work out good
and we get a proper horror story line that can hold for a long time.
there is still enough explaining to do after this episode and that is good and wants me to look the 2nd
episode. but i'm glad that there is a very promissing horror style series!

seconded, or is it thirded? i loved ultraviolet too.

i read the book a few years ago so i was hugely excited to see this pop up on eztv! so far,
episode one followed the book fairly well and well surpassed what one would expect for a book to
tv series. there are a few changes but i was surprised how faithful they were to the original story.
totally looking forward to the rest of the show! if you haven't read the book, it was awesome too
so check it out 🙂

never heard of this and i wasnt expecting anything good from it. i'm glad i was wrong, i loved the
pilot and i hope the show keeps that quality. it has that kind of atmosphere you only see in movies.

that's probably because guillermo del toro directed the pilot episode himself.

well worth the watch! with guillermo del toro at the helm, you don't really think this is "twilight"
on tv, do you?!?
