concept unrealized : while i do sometimes wonder what if i went back in time to the dark ages and so on,
this seem to travel only roughly 200 years from the past to the past. that avoid many of the interesting
conflicts and situations they could have introduced. i assume this is because the author wanted to focus on
medicine and feminism as the central themes which is fine but there are many other themes that could
have been explored if time travel was from around 2014 to 865 ad or 1300 ad.

this show looks _really_ good. looks like the pilot was released early, since it's not supposed to
premier until august 9th, and i'm excited to watch it!

my friends are fond of the novels but it's not my case. i really disliked the first novel and never
read the others. i plan to skip on the tv show as well.

it's not very good(acting and script-wise). the books are generally not good either(though i care for the
characters and i like the jamie fella).
i had no expectations, which is why i'm really fine with watching this. as far as i'm concerned, this is a
show about people speaking scots and gaelic, some kilts, some interesting everyday life bits(i don't
suppose i'll ever get the chance to see a privy, eh?). jamie is very attractive, so that sure helps the show,
and i don't hate claire(though i'm not a fan of this version - in books she's less annoying).
watch it for the scottishness, and don't expect too much excellent acting or writing, and it'll make a nice
sunday morning thing to watch while eating pancakes.
p.s. really, the gaelic though. yum.
