watched episode 1. as an australian, and a pinko lefty greens voter, this series is awful. the premise is simple: they take
six people - four bigots, and two open-minded people - and put them in a variety of situations where they're surrounded by
aboriginal culture and life. for the americans, imagine you took a bunch of bigots and put them on an indian reservation for
a month to see how they handle it.

the entire point of the show seems to be to show the four bigots all spewing their bile and misinformation at the camera, so
we can tut and shake our heads and say "well, i'd never think that way!" and get our rocks off on watching bigots do their
thing, and we can get a little titillation at watching the open-minded people go from "aboriginals, yeah!" to "this is
challenging my world view and i'm experiencing things that i am not used to" in five minutes flat, or look at
the bogan bigots have their world view challenged so we can keep feeling morally superior.

to me, it would have been preferable to watch a thoughtfully created documentary that showed us the lives of the aboriginal
people, good and bad, and told us their stories. this series, so far, reeks of a reality tv show.
