Just a heads up - Once I got this file my computers anti virus went into overdrive and removed it immediately from my
system claiming there were 7 hidden files that were all a virus. If it is my computer - well it is the first time this has ever
happened and I have been using this site for years.
If you think it's safe then by all means have at it.
Don't attack me for letting you know what my antivirus has flagged as unsafe.

Whether it's your m/c or an actual virus you did the right thing alerting people.

The title is also very misleading.

No problems here. So either my system did not warn me or it seems to be a local problem.

Just checked: there are no 7 hidden files. The linked *.torrent only has the video file ...

I watched directily from Netflix and my computer got infected with virus. Seems MPAA hackers are
injecting malware on free-to-watch tv shows as trojans to monitor piracy. Keep your head down.

As far as I'm aware, it's essentially a technical impossibility to hide something in a torrent.

Unlike, say, FTP, the BitTorrent protocol just doesn't have the complexity required for that: Each
file descriptor in a .torrent file consists of exactly two values, a relative path and a size -
nothing else, no attributes, no permissions, not even a timestamp. Nor is there a way to squirrel
away data within an overhead that's not being assigned to any of the files, because global values
like the total torrent size aren't being redundantly stored but have to be compounded from the sizes
of the contained files each time they're needed. Some of this makes the protocol less user-friendly
than it could be, but it does make it WYSIWYG and therefore very secure.

Of course, that doesn't mean that there can't be stuff hidden within the files themselves, though.

I also did get neither a warning nor multiple files.

@OP
I have never encountered any malware included in torrents from EZTV, and i highly doubt it would start now after about 20
years of providing safe torrents.

It sounds more like a local problem with your computer to me (which i would fix straight away if i were you), or perhaps
you're just a copyright troll. Either way these torrents are fine.
