24 is a little slow, im not sure if it's cause i love heroes now or if it has
slowed down a bit, im not a fan of the chinese crap there doing now, it's just
doesnt fit in well.
ill continue to watch it but it has been better.
i only started watching when season 2 started, so i can only imagine how good it
was when it started

personally i think this is the best season of 24 since the
first one...
well, it's good to hear something positive about season 6. that's a very
interesting insight. my biggest issue this season is just that everything
seems copied from somewhere else. it just lacks originality to me. and i say
again...i love the show...even this season. i just don't want to see it going
downhill. while watching last night, i was sure i was seeing bruce willis in
die hard, instead of jack bauer! all that was missing was jack saying, "yippee
kay- eh....", well, you know the rest.
the end of the episode (i'm trying hard not to be specific so as to spoil
anything) was entirely predictable instead of exciting. so much so, we've been
waiting for that character to show up again. nobody forgot that he walked away
several episodes ago.
i agree that a change of scenery could be a great boost for the show. it
wouldn't hurt to make jack a little more human and "imperfect" again too.
either that or give him a red cape and some blue tights.
obviously, with the fan base 24 has now, after 5 highly successful seasons,
any real fan would be forgiving of a bad season. just a bit of a rut,
hopefully. i know it certainly won't make me stop watching. it just seems that
the writers only formula right now is to put jack in impossible situations
where only he can save the world, in the meantime killing off everyone around
him for shock value. sure, that worked in season one with jack's wife, even
with david palmer and maybe with edgar...but c'mon, they're dropping like
flies now.
i just think the writers need to get back to basics instead of trying to outdo
themselves every hour. season one was very believable. season 6 has
been...um..interesting? what the heck, i'm still watching...lol. i am however
currently grabbing the first 4 seasons of the shield, based on recommendations
of the good folk here. =)

if your not looking for hd versions, try the asd ones (much smaller files, full
screen and fast downloads)search mininova for... the shield + asd

after the last episode i think i will have to change my opinion, i was almost at
the edge of my seat as i've been the first five season. i just hope it will be
as good or better next week.

24 has definitely gone down hill. it's become too predictable. i used to be
shocked on a weekly basis and left looking forward to the next episode. but
now, it's just too predictable. you can see the "shock twist" 20 minutes
before it happens!! i think its time to bow out now before it gets really
seriously bad.

yeah do so...the shield is a great show! it's just too bad it's not aired in
hdtv.
i just wanted to thank everyone for recommending this show! i'm about halfway
through the first season and i already love the show! great characters and a
real gritty edge. i've already got all the episodes thru to season 6, so i'll
be busy watching this show during the slow summer hiatus. thanks again!

hehe ... get jack to australia and, during the flight back to lax, let his plane
crash on the "lost" island ...
his mission would be simple ... 24 hours for bauer to stop the smoke monster
with john locke as his sidekick :d

welllll....that was a long day, to say the least. i'm hearing rumors about
season 7 having new locations and new cast etc. lets hope that things get back
to basics instead of making jack more of a one man super hero.
just as a sidenote, i went back to watch the very first episode of season 1 of
24 and what a difference! jack was a normal guy caught up in extraordinary
circumstances. compared to where the show has evolved now, he is now some kind
of superhuman entity that the whole world looks to as their only savior, while
they try to impede his progress every step of the way.
i'm sure it's tough for the writers after 5 successful seasons to come up with
a great formula for season 6. and i don't think season 6 was horrendous. for
me it was simply a letdown because they seem to be getting away from the
formula that made 24 and jack bauer so likeable to start with. for the past 5
years i finished watching the final episode feeling satisfied and entertained.
after day 6 (for me anyways) it was just kinda...hmmmmm...okay. let's hope for
great things next january when day 7 starts. and lets face it, these days you
have give any show credit for lasting 6 seasons when some good shows can't
seem to last 6 episodes.

this seasons 24, was good, not great, but good.
i live in the uk where our regular home grown tv is a dire mix of soaps and
reality tv.
the only programme i have watched on regular tv in the last year was 'life on
mars' (if you havent seen in it-- do so now, so how good a show is depends on
what it is in competition with as to what your final opinion will be.
saying that i have noticed a fall in writing standards of many series this
year, lost, lost the plot for a while, veronica mars, still not such what the
plot is this season, house, great while the cop was in it, then fell back to
its usual, try 50 cures, nearly kill them, then ding! house saves the day.
but if anyone wants to watch truley awful storylines grab some csi miami, i
swear after a few episodes of that, you will be happy to watch jack bauer
