but did they warn you by stating specifically law and order or just warn you
about dling ?
i know cable service are pricks about using alot of bandwidth regordless of what
it is for.
i tried telling a friend this when he wanted to serve a bunch of large game
files from home, after about a week the cable company contacted him and said he
was using way too much bandwidth and they knew he was running a server and if he
did not stop they were going to shut him off.

cable is notorious for monitoring general bandwidth usage and has nothing to do
with what you are dling let alone the site you got the torrent through.... lol!!

girl's blouses... lol!!!

comon...i received a warning from isp
this morning after downloading an episode
of law and order svu from this site. after
calming down, i realize even though i personally
pay for my cable which airs l&o svu because
torrent force you to upload it is considered
illegal. this will be my last time i use this
site unfortunately

it was specifically for law and order
and it is stealing because people are able
to view the program by downloading it
instead of paying for cable tv.
those who dont have
cable tv are viewing it without having
to pay for the cable tv. its that simple.
why is that so hard for people to understand
i was in the wrong. let it be a warning!

lmfao!!!!!!!

do you know how fucking stupid that analogy is ?!?!?!

i do not have cable tv.... i do not dl law and order anything......
yet i watch them all every week.... hmmmm now how could that be.....
now how could someone watch law and order's every week without cable or without
dling them... yet watch them for free without paying the cable company...
and be totaly legal ?!?!?!
hmmmm....

the cable company has nothing to do with tv show's... all law and order's are
boradcast over open free airwaves....
i watch them every week for free and legally with my huge ass tv ariel in my roof...

shit!!!! all those people without cable and recording law & order on their vhs
machines & whatever else they have recorded to vhs or dvd from free air
transmissions over the last 30 years had better watch out because cable is
coming after them!!!!!!

how did you ever get smart enough to even know how to torrent ?!?!

lol!!!!

the main problem about the whole topic is control. the copyright owners don't
want to give away any sort of control about what will be contributed in any form
at any time on any medium. if they were able to do, they would illegalize any
kind of home recording devices (acually, that's a discussion that goes back to
late 1960s or early 70s). watch their stuff, but only watch it the way they like
you to do it. in case of telly, it's some kind of "oh, now the ads - i mustn't
go away because not watching the ads is like stealing from television", as homer
simpson once said. i think we all will end up in hell condemned to watch the
entire ads our sinned souls nowadays ignore. from here to eternity

i call "bs" on op. i'm sorry. if this actually happened why don't you post
your letter, please? (feel free to remove sensitive information). i've been
downloading l&o for years (including all this month) and have never received a
letter. i can't even say i've been running pg2 the whole time either. in fact
i know it wasn't running the last time i dl'ed it. i'm not saying people don't
receive letters, i know they do, but you, my friend, must have some terrible,
terrible luck for getting caught downloading law and bleepin' order.

yep... back in the day when vcr's were becoming a main staple in the average
home they tried this shit.... but they lost!!!!!!! it's called "timeshifting"
where you are by law allowed to record something you were not able to watch at
the time of airing, to watch it later then record over it, you were not allowed
to "archive" it... keep it to watch over and over for years to come.... f'n
please!!!!!!

about 90% of americans over the last 20-30 years are felons and should be thrown
in jail or at least fined $1000's of dollars!!!!! if the mpaa had their way!!
lol!!!!
because you know most people recorded stuff on their vcr's from over the air
(even before cable) on vhs tapes (beta not as much) to keep and watch.

the whole, i don't wanna watch commercials, so they must be stealing.. fer
fuck's sake!!! even today when a commercial comes on broadcast tv most people
leave the room or change the channel.... damn!!!!! those theives!!!!!! for not
sitting their asses right their and not watching or paid advertisements so they
are paying to watch our over the air free tv programs!!!!!!

they are going to be sitting right there besides homer burning in hell watching
dial soap commercials for all eternity!!!!!!!

lol!!!!

we won't even get into how some of the biggest players in the world have even
announced they are giving up on drm because they know it's a waste of time,
money and effort......

people will do what they want with what they have and it's better to spend their
$$ on actually giving the public quality entertainment/media (ie: music, movies,
ect.)

i remember reading an article from the mpaa saying how all the bootleggers were
the cause of the declining movie ticket sales..... but then a few months later
they were saying in the news how the boxoofice sales were killer and higher than
they had been in months when "ghostrider" hit the theaters ??
wait.... you mean the bootleggers stopped bootlegging for that one movie ??

no!!!!! the reason ticket sale's have been declining is because hollywood has
been giving us shit!!! and for ghostrider to be the one killer movie to finally
get boxoffice sale's back up is a statement in it's own!!!
i have alway's been a ghostrider fan (comics) since i was like 10 years old (30
years ago) and that movie was not good enough for me to pay $8.00 a ticket to
see..... bunch of sad bastards those hollywood/mpaa bastards are!!!!!!

end loooooong ass rant

i call bs on op.

my thought's exactly!!!!!!!
which is why i asked in my first post if he just got a warning for using too much
bandwidth or specifically for law & order....
because i think he is so full of shit.. no only are his eye's brown... but so is
his hair, skin, spit, piss, ect. ect. ect.
lol!!!!!!
Trinexx Posted at 21/05/2007, 22:17
i thought ghost rider sucked...

anyways, i\'m *constantly* downloading something, and have been for over two
years, but i have yet to see embarq jump up my ass for downloading a tv show.
sure, i\'m getting lazy, but i always use pg and encryption when i\'m downloading
a movie that just came out.

embarq is supposed to cap your bandwidth 1.5gb per month (they drop to dialup
speeds once you pass that), but i\'m beginning to learn that isp\'s, riaa, and
mpaa are all full of shit. i mean, i\'ve uploaded at least 10 gigs this week
(.5mbs, dont laugh -_-) and my speeds are still the same.

off topic, but i find it a bit fucked up that you can transmit something over
open airwaves then have a stroke when someone records it.
