imzadi thanks for your post it solved a problem i was having with xvid-xor
files i had downloaded.
my computer was not recognising them as video files, they would still play
with vlc player but they would not play on my xbox which i normally view them
on.
deselecting the hide extensions and then changing to .avi has fixed the prob,

my favorite video player is called gom
you can watch a show at a faster than normal speed.
there is an option to have voice adjustment lower the pitch of the voice so
that the actors don\'t sound like chipmunks!!
gom works well with mce remote controlers as well.
i like to watch alot of tv. i can watch more tv in a smaller amount of time
with gom.

definatly go for vlc media player. its free and plays tons of formats
including 3gp, flv etc.
