perhaps a little off topic, but why do the strikers even bother picketting in
front of buildings anyway?.seems more like a symbolic measure to show their
frustration, but a little annoying at most to people passing by.
but practically speaking, lossing millions of dollars in ad money daily, as well
as potential new shows as the strike goes on seems like enough of a protest to
the networks, they should all just take a vacation, or relax at home or
someting, waiting when or if negotiations will take place.

you, sir, are an idiot. your arguments don't even make sense -
the employers
have their own unions, and have had so for much longer than the workers. 90% of
the time you will not be able to quit your job and find another with better
pay. the unions exist to protect the workers from big business, who will
always - by its very definition - look to exploit them as much and as hard as
possible. a corporation has one single purpose; making money, and making it by
any means necessary. this is a policy that *will*, at some point, affect the
workforce - and if they don't have anyone that will stand up for them and their
rights, they're screwed.
as is currently the case in australia with the new ir laws. in a nutshell, the
workers are screwed over big time.

prison break is one of the best shows out there bauer and has a great and unique
plot too. i don't think it's very fair to call it repetitive.
i have to agree with you as far as the simpsons is concerned thou, they should
have stopped a long time ago. i'm really getting sick of the same old gags and
oneliners the simply aren't funny. i have an easy solution thou, change the
channel;-)
lost is another great show that's being affected by all this. only 8 episodes
finished and it's meant to air in 3 months.
all and all i can't see how there can be any positives from the situation.

"you don't like your job, you don't strike. you go in every day and do it really
half-assed. that's the american way."

how the hell would a strike bring back any past canceled
show??
it's very possible, though i doubt we'll see the exampled shows. what we'll see
is shows for which scripts were written but were never aired or filmed.
i imagine we might see the last two eps of drive for example (though we've seen
it as a dl so maybe not)
and i'm sure there's any number of other shows around that they never aired some
written or even filmed episodes.
unfortunately, the writers knew studio 60 was doomed and so they wrote it to a
neat ending. there are no scripts left lying around just waiting for filming.
