well maybe you should have been more specific then. and you do
not get any
pop-ups at all if you configure your browser correctly. but since you are ahead
of me i do not need to tell you how to do that.

maybe it would be helpful if you had less attitude but reguardless i only posted
to let whoever might wanna know ... know. not to get bashed and treated like a
moron

fyi the following text is written after numerous times getting 2 or more popups over 8 months and a
climatic 30+ popup windows that flooded my system and made me shutdown my explorer.

your popups on bt-chat is not - i repeat not one but many. this isn't recent either it is from my use on
eztv when i go to bt-chat through there link this has been probably 8 months or longer. the entire time
i have used bt-chat i have gotten 3-4 popups and i close them quickly so they don't continue popping
up. you even have one of those small sneaky ones that popup in the corner that hides so you don't see it
and it continues popping up spam. i just was flooded with over 30 pages just a second ago. i wouldn't
take my time and go out of my way to contact you at 650am when i haven't been to bed yet if this was not
true. i am going to use other sites because of this. eztv seems to run a legitimate page from what i can
tell and i never worried about browsing and downloading from them. bt-chat however has changed my
idea about that or primarily your site in general. fix your popup issue. you can have ads in the page.
popups are the scum of the internet. don't be that way. make your money through banner ads.
considering flooding my page. cause that flood you just did on me for 20 pages is gonna make me avoid
your page in the long run and i am pretty sure i am going to download more then twenty more in my life.
probably 20 more before i fall asleep. people should boycott btchat until the flood of popups goes away.

also i do have a popup blocker but 75% of what i do on the net has popups that are needed to navigate
the specific site properly. every site i use that are torrent sites, porn sites,
or other sites known to have malicious popups are fine. i barely get popups. that just popup on the
second i hit the page. only popups i do get that bother me are showing one site and giving a popup ad
site and i would have to close it and reclick it. which is bothersome also. however i feel that a active
torrent site that has many people navigate to it from search engines and other sites like eztv that links
you to btchat should have enough traffic to run a site with banner ads and not popups. eztv seems to
have enough money to run there site without bombing there user with popups in every page. think about
it that eztv is promoting btchat and linking to there site so thats has to improve traffic to btchat. why
make there site unpleasing. just going to avoid it.

i'm not being funny, but there are 104 posts on here before mine, and quite a
lot of them have been bitching about virri and alike.

bt-chat do not post virri (something that a few people have said - not in here).
obviously there is limited ammounts we can do to prevent some of the more
spurious people injecting stuff at the ad hosters. but the policy of all the ad
content providers explicitelly ban virri. so if you follow our procedures then
it can be quickly resolved. the more people who do that, the less likelly it is
to continue, as the companies have to pay to provide ads, and they aren't going
to want to do that if their ads are removed.

beyond that, there are ways to stop pop-ups from appearing. most of them have
been repeatedly posted on here!

beyond that there are a few things to remember (reiteration of aydin1954 and
other mods):

1) specific complaints should be directed to bt-chat directly (i haven't seen
anyone in here do that to date. i don't check this forum *that* often. i don't
have the time. if there is a specific issue then there isn't much point posting
it here, cos the chances are, neither i nor the other admins will get it.)

2) a properly configured browser negates all of the above

3) we have options for stopping popups - don't bitch if you can't be bothered to
make use of them!

4) this is likelly to become defunct, as we are looking at taking popups off
soon anyway.
